Introduction
The tale has been prepared in the English language classroom because we planed to go out in order to see a little shared play in English to primary students. This play is linked to a unit on the 3rd. level: My favourite Story.
The idea began when I attended to "Jornades de Llengua Anglesa" where I saw this play and I knew how English teachers work stories in a workshop. This play was so amusing and interesting I thought that my pupils had to see it.
At the begining of the last year, I started to prepare the play in English classroom globally with the other tasks.
I got in touch with the theatre company and they helped me sending a workpack made by Margaret O'Keefe of Merit Training (RSA diploma).It fills all the basic language aspects. It also has an extensive range of activities and ideas for the young and old children.
For the first term of this year we worked the story from different aspects:
In the video classroom
In the computer classroom
Showing a mural of the strip cartoons.
In the Englis classroom
Chants and songs
Doing surveys
Games
Acting out and shadow theatre
Posters, collage, masks, disguises,..
The real characters were the children from "Cicle Mitjā i Superior". We enjoyed doing it very much
