CLIL-oriented Sites & Projects

ALPME. Advanced Level Programme in Multilingual Education, preparing both content and language teachers to teach in educational contexts which apply a Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) approach.
CCN (CLIL Cascade Network). CCN aims to consolidate local, regional and national network activities in CLIL at a European level so as to accelerate development of teacher competencies and qualifications, localized and regional competence building. An International CLIL Conference will be held in Tallinn, Estonia, 24-25 October 2008
organised by the European CLIL Cascade Network (CCN), The Estonian Language Immersion Centre, The University of Jyväskylä (Finland).
CLIL-AXIS. To launch an awareness package for educators and employers on development opportunities in educational delivery for the new realities of working life in Europe.
CLILCOM, a tool which enables the user to better understand the knowledge and skills required for successful CLIL.
CLIL Consortium. The CLIL Consortium is a network of 10 experts who work individually, and jointly, on specific problem-solving and development tasks which concern ‘medium of instruction’.
CLIL Compendium. The result from a research-driven project which has focussed on identifying the dimensions of CLIL.
CLIL MATRIX. The CLIL Matrix is an awareness-raising and training tool for teachers who wish to consider the skills and knowledge necessary for achieving quality CLIL and to examine the extent to which they are prepared for teaching through CLIL.
CLIP (the Content and Language Integration Project). Nationally co-ordinated programme of bilingual learning in the UK (i.e. studying a curriculum subject through the medium of a foreign language), with financial support from the DfES, CILT, is piloting a three year study at both primary and secondary level.
CoBaLTT provides professional development and online resources that help foreign language and immersion teachers create content-based lessons/units using technology to enhance students' language proficiency and content or cultural knowledge.
EuroCLIC. European Network which aims to include as many practitioners, researchers, teacher trainers, policymakers and other players in the field of CLIL as possible. EuroCLIC focuses on programmes which entail the use of a modern foreign language as the language of instruction or content and language integrated learning for non-language subjects.

FACTWorld. Forum set up to support the teaching of subjects through the medium of a foreign language. The site contains links to country reports, links to useful sites and contact details of key people in participating countries.
