This is a cross curriculum course to be offered to students of English language in 4th of E.S.O. It has the objective to introduce architecture
and urban geography. At its centre there are environmental issues, construction solutions and historical processes in aesthetic and cultural
terms. It has seven units.

3- Structures.
4- Home in Diverse Natural Environments.
5- Architecture and Civilization.
6- Cities: Large, Complex and Evolving Works.
7- Approaches to a History of Architecture and Urbanism.

Aquest material consisteix en tres unitats didàctiques al voltant de temes referits al cos huma:
- Unit 1 - Life's building blocks: la cèl·lula,
- Unit 2 - Nutrition: els aparells digestiu, respiratori i circulatori,
- Unit 3 - In touch with the world: els aparells nerviós, muscular i esquelètic
Consta de diverses parts: Material de l'alumnat, orientacions per al professorat i material complementari.
Com part del projecte d'aprenentatge de continguts curriculars en anglès de l'IES Ramon Casa i Carbó, s'han dissenyat també 3 unitats sobre el regne animal: The Animal Kingdom.

Issues for all Seasons (2005-2006)

Col·lecció de dotze unitats didàctiques per ampliar els coneixements d’anglès dels alumnes, practicant totes les estratègies i utilitzant les noves tecnologies.
Per a cada estació es proposa una sèrie de temes relacionats amb les celebracions tradicionals que tenen lloc als països de parla anglesa. Les unitats que es tracten en aquest projecte, estan basades en temes de valors i ciutadania. Tenen com a punt de partida la celebració, però el que es proposa és una visió alternativa de la celebració convencional. L’objectiu d’aquest projecte és despertar un esperit crític en l'alumnat utilitzant l’anglès com a llengua vehicular.

Alternative proposal to the optional subject Universal Literature of the ESPO. It takes British and American writers as a starting point. The material is organized in three areas which can be modified according to the teacher’s criteria.
- Dossiers, devoted to the study of the “classical” literary genres: Poetry, Drama, The Novel. A subgenre is added, The Gothic Novel, quintessentially British and especially appealing to our students.
- The Spirit of the Age, a brief introduction to the themes, worries, and cultural movements from the Renaissance to the early 20th century.
- Lives and Works, some fundamental authors of the British literary tradition. Biographical information, texts and explanatory notes.

Teaching Music through Scottish Music (2006-2007)

Aquest projecte està dissenyat per a introduir-lo com a matèria optativa. Les lliçons que constitueixen les 6 unitats segueixen una relació, però que es poden utilitzar de forma independent.
La primera unitat està dedicada al llenguatge musical. Parteix d’allò més fàcil i senzill com són les notes i les figures musicals per endinsar-nos després en un món més complexa com és el de les escales, tonalitats, intervals i acords. La segona unitat està dedicada a Escòcia. Es dóna una visió molt general del país i de la seva cultura. Les unitats 3 i 4 estan dedicades a la musica tradicional: instruments i cançó. En la unitat 5 es fa una anàlisi de cinc cançons concretes relacionades cronològicament amb la història d’Escòcia.
La sisena i última unitat, està pensada per a treballar-la des del començament de la matèria ja que és la pràctica dels acords de guitarra que després serviran per a tocar les cançons treballades en la unitat 5 |
