OFICINA DE COOPERACIÓ EDUCATIVA    I CIENTÍFICA INTERNACIONAL

Welcome     One of the main aims of the Oficina de Cooperació Educativa i Científica Internacional de la Direcció General d'Ordenació i Innovació Educativa del Departament d'Educació is promoting the participation of Catalan schools in European Union programmes. These programmes intend to increase the quality of education in Europe encouraging the development of transnational projects and providing the means for the mobility of students, teaching staff and educational staff in general. The Oficina Internacional gives to schools the necessary support and provides the management so that they can take part in these programmes. It also informs about teaching materials so as to introduce European dimension in schools, promotes coooperation nets between schools in different European regions, creates telemathic nets in order to develop multilateral school partnerships and gives support to transnational in-service training so that teachers can introduce European dimension in their practice. The Oficina Europea also organizes cooperation actions with European Union institutions and other European regional institutions, especially actions implying people and idea exchanges. At European level, the Oficina collaborates with the European Union Comité des Regions and the Bureau d'Assistance Technique Socrates et Jeneusse, the European Council, the UNESCO and some regional nets of cooperation, such as Euroregion, formed by the regions of Midi-Pirynees, Languedoc-Roussillon and Catalonia on the one hand, and the Pyrenees Work Community, that is made up by all the regions at both sides of the Pyrenees. Furthermore, it also works with European professional teacher associations. At state level, the Oficina collaborates with the Ministerio de Educación y Cultura, with the Socrates National Agency, and its offices in the different autonomous communities. At national level, the Oficina collaborates with the Comissionat per a Actuacions Exteriors del Departament de la Presidència de la Generalitat, the Comissió de Seguiment Catalunya-UE del Parlament de Catalunya, el Patronat Català Pro-Europa and the representació de la Comissió de la Unió Europea in Catalonia. The Serveis Territorials of the Departament d'Educació collaborate actively in promoting, managing and supporting the different actions in Socrates. The Oficina Educativa Internacional, as Socrates Agency for Catalonia, offers its support to all teachers, schools and teaching institutions that want to participate in Joint Education European Programmes.
