Acculturation : process of gradual cultural change in a society due to contact with another, which is completely or partially different.

Acropolis : from the Greek, “high city or citadel”, the highest part of a city, where the temples were.

Embossed: decoration of motifs, made by hammering on a metallic plate so the design projects out on the opposite side.

Necropolis : from the Greek, “city of the dead” or cemetery.

Patera : Latin word meaning plate. Used in Latin terminology because of its generic character.

Surplus : excess of foods, raw material or manufactured products enabling theexchange for other products in short supply.

Syncretism : the fusion and mixture of different religious or philosophical ideologies.
